Here we will address, design and show you how to implement different mediums of marketing media that will enable you to market your golf property (or yourself) within your given/set budget. Each month we will provide you with a marketing or lead generation program, along with some sales training that you will be able to implement on your own (DIY…do it yourself) or you can partner with us to implement it for you (turn-key). Either way, as a member you will receive direct access to our vendors (via our “vendors” tab) and receive our wholesale pricing from our vendors the same as we receive from doing volume business with them since the early 1990s.
The different ads will comprise of a basic recipe that can easily be interchanged; starting with the “hook”, e.g., “a lost leader”. For those of you unfamiliar with the term “lost leader”, a simple way of defining it is the part of your product or service that is least valuable to you (but must have value to the consumer) and the bottom line of your business that you can practically give away to get new golfers in the door. There is always a lost leader in every business; just think outside-the-box and you’ll discover it and/or we will bring it to your attention. (Lost leader vs. Loss leader)
The lost leader is then used as your “hook” in your ad copy, radio spots, social media, and etc. The hook, just like in fishing, is baited with your “tag line”. The tag line has to grab the immediate attention of the consumer, then you set the hook with the lost leader (or a different hook, there are many more other than a lost leader). Haven’t you heard of “any bad day of fishing beats any good day at work”?
Next is the “call to action” statement. This is where you get them to act now because of limited number, limited time, etc. Then you will learn the selling aspect from fielding “information inquiries” to “closing the sale”. In larger organizations sales and marketing are two complete different departments. At MMC® we think this is absurd; marketing and sales go hand in hand and both hands should know what the other is doing.
Getting your business to consistently produce will not happen overnight, just like you can’t get in shape overnight or learn to play the game of golf well overnight.
